July was a great month of celebrating the Birthday of America… God gave us the opportunity to celebrate the month coast to coast. Preaching from California on the Pacific coast to North Carolina on the Atlantic coast.

JULY 1ST & 2ND God blessed with an Anniversary meeting in Bowling Green KY at Victory Baptist Church with Pastor R. B. Adamson. We had a record crowd with altars full and precious souls coming to Christ.

JULY 8TH – 17TH  was spent in California… First with Pastor Max Hudson at Oakridge.  Bro. Hudson is married to our daughter Debbie and has three of our twelve grandchildren.  It is always a joy to be with them.  Their young church is seeing good steady growth.

Then We ended our CA trip at  Lighthouse Baptist in Moreno Valley with Pastor Jim Preston.  It was our first time to meet Dr. Preston.  He also serves as President of Pacific Baptist College.  I was greatly impressed with the potential of this church and feel as though I have a new friend in the ministry.

JULY 22ND  we spent the day in Magnolia, NC preaching for Pastor Ray Kennedy at Faith Independent Baptist Church. The Lord gave us another power filled weekend and a new friend.  Bro. and Mrs. Kennedy are a delightful couple and we enjoyed the brief time we had there.  Bro. Kennedy is another pastor with a strong stand for the fundamentals of the faith.

From Magnolia we drove over to Walkertown, NC to spend some time at the National Sword of the Lord Conference.  The sermons we heard were filled with power and the conviction was great.  I made several fresh commitments to Christ.  The music was Heavenly and without compromise.  You should put this meeting on your calendar for next year.

JULY 29TH – AUG 1ST … We concluded the month at Greater Vision Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Russ.  We had the joy of seeing the new construction that is underway.  Bro.  Tim has led the church in steady growth and now to accommodate the crowds they are enlarging their foyer area and entrance including a covered drop off area.  Nancy and I always enjoy our time with the Russ family.

We celebrated America’s Birthday…Thank the Lord for our freedom

We really enjoyed the  Wednesday evenings we were able to attend Shawnee Baptist Church our home church.  During our camp weeks the speaker speaker makes a trip to the church and preaches to the adults.

We got to go fishing and Nancy caught a 3lb bass.

It was a great July…  We have ask God to help us keep on fishing for men.  Thank the Lord several were “caught.”  Now we are pressing on into August.

Today we visited a young church plant meeting in a rented facility that was once a great soul winning church.  I love it when God challenges a young man to step out by faith.
